A CELEBRATION AT HOME
Olivia & Jordan
AUSTRALIAN BACKYARD RECEPTION
Words by Olivia: In July, we flew over to Canada in haste to be with Jordan’s father, Bryan. During his last days, we decided to get married – there was no engagement, no prior plans and absolutely no doubt. We planned everything in a matter of days, forgoing any unnecessary details and focusing on the true sentiment. We had an intimate ceremony with Jordan’s family followed by a beautiful lunch in the woods of Alberta.
We were lucky enough to have a second celebration back home in Australia with our friends and family, held at my childhood home in Port Macquarie. We didn’t want to have a formal wedding – just a party with a bunch of our favourite people, cold drinks, good music and great times. The day was truly a celebration of love and remembrance, topped off with a double rainbow – it doesn’t get much better than that.”
Words by Keegan: I had such a great time getting to know these two. When I first met Olivia at a cafe we found out we had so much in common. We were both from the same town and grew up with the same groups of friends. Both Olivia and Jordan share a passion of design and creating ( I have a background in graphic design too). I have photographed them a couple of times now and I can happily say I have made two great friends with these two. They are such kind souls and I instantly felt loved when I got to know them. I am so glad they chose me for their ‘Australian backyard elopement reception.’
Here is what happened that day:
