I just had a bunch of time off over the winter break. My family didn’t quite get a holiday this year as my wife went in for surgery on her brain (crazy, I know!)
This meant that I was at home looking after our boy and her whilst she recovered over the 6 weeks. I went through stages of gratitude and sometimes on rare occasions I felt like I was somewhat going backwards with creativity and a drive to photograph anything. I am so used to the photographing weddings week to week.
On reflection I was missing the sense of purpose outside my family life. Don’t get me wrong I am so happy that my wife’s health is great and we got to spend so much quality time together with our little boy.
As my time off came to an end I saw that Lei Lei was running a content workshop. I was super excited by the idea of attending as I thought this would be such a great experience to photograph editorial content.
The day was so much fun and it was all down to Lei Lei executing such an amazing day with the all the vendors going above the beyond to make it happen.
