I have always wanted to photograph a sand dunes engagement session. I get to travel around a lot in the local area and even up and down the coast of Australia. I have spent years in Newcastle photographing couples but I hadn’t spent much time in Stockton before. The sand dunes are incredible. It blows my mind how much beauty there is in our own backyard.
Monalisa enquired through Instagram asking if I knew of any spots where they could get images with vast sand dunes as a backdrop. I had just the right place in mind for them. I had visited the dunes a few times and I knew these two would love it. The weather was forecasted for a severe cold change and strong winds which was concerning. That didn’t stop these two! They explored the sand dunes in the raging winds and rough weather but it made for some beautiful images.
