GEMMA & MICHAEL

I have so much love for these two. I learnt so much about Gemma & Michael during the speeches at their wedding that validated my thoughts on how nice they are. Firstly, they met on a flight to the US. How romantic can you get!

It became apparent to me that it wasn’t just me who saw how great these two are. They both care so much for people and the planet and the actions they take on that really impressed me. The humanitarian work that Michael has done would blow anyones mind on the generosity and care he takes to help people and the planet.

The day started with a beautiful warm morning at Wallalong House. The day was being threatened by a big storm that was ripping through the landscape just before the ceremony was about to begin. I haven’t ever seen a bunch of wedding guests and family not even phased with the weather causing concerns. Gemma said to me that they would just wait for it to stop. I was looking at my phone and the radar wasn’t promising but after a short while later the clouds opened up and gave us the perfect afternoon. It was magical.

The ceremony started with a silent meditation to soak up the surroundings and to stop and be present. I heard the birds chirping and a strike of lightning in the distance. It was very touching to see the positive attitude from Gemma and Michael and it created one of the most enjoyable days I have spent with a couple at a wedding. I absolutely love photographing at Wallalong House. I seem to photograph there more often these days and it works so well with my laid back style and focus on details and landscape.

Enough rambling from me… Here is their story…
